I Can Do This: How To Open A Pomegranate

You can cut through a pomegranate the same way you would cut open an apple or an orange, but you'll lose a lot of precious juice held by the red, fleshy arils inside. This video will show you how to prevent this from happening.

My sister and I fought over pomegranates in our youth. We mostly fought over who had control of the television (a black and white Philco), but when pomegranates were in stock at Slipko's Grocery store, we fought over them.

I wish I had this video back then. I could have shown my sister a thing or two. Unfortunately for my father, who invested in a new directional TV antenna, cable television arrived only months after he made the plunge and rendered his investment obsolete. It wasn't until the 90s that my father got rid of the Philco, grudgingly.
